Launch of the pilots!
Exciting times for the SOTERIA project! 🚀 Over the past few days, we’ve launched two pilots: the e-exam pilot in Austria on March 27th and the e-health pilot in Spain on April 2nd!
Our partners BBHRI and ipcenter are recruiting citizens to test the SOTERIA digital wallet across two innovative use cases. Participants will complete transactions using either SOTERIA or traditional methods, with a 3-week gap between them.
In the e-exam pilot, participants will authenticate using either SOTERIA or two-factor authentication, take a data protection exam, and—if using SOTERIA—store their certificate directly in the wallet.
In the e-health pilot, SOTERIA users can upload and manage their health data, making it accessible anytime, anywhere. Non-SOTERIA users will stick with paper medical records.
At the end of each transaction, pilot participants will complete a survey to share their sense of security and privacy during the process.
Recruitment is ongoing in Austria and Spain until early July, with a goal of gathering feedback from 900 citizens in each country!
This is a crucial step toward understanding how SOTERIA can enhance digital identity experiences, and we’re excited to hear what participants think!
edit: The e-exam pilot was launched also in Romania at the beginning of June!
